What intellectual standard does Get Unstuck hold itself to?
This is not a manifesto about values. It is a description of operating rules — the constraints that govern what gets published and what does not. If you are reading something here, it has passed these gates.
What can be verified is stated as observation. What it might mean is stated as interpretation. The two are never conflated. A reader should always be able to tell which is which — and challenge the interpretation without disputing the observation.
A theory that only explains its origin domain is an anecdote. A theory that holds across medicine, investing, manufacturing, and education without modification is closer to a law. The test for a theory is always cross-domain: does the mechanism survive translation?
Opinion is a view held in the absence of sufficient evidence. Evidence is an observation that has survived attempts to disprove it. This platform publishes both — but never treats opinion as evidence. Where the evidence is thin, that thinness is stated.
An anecdote is a story. A mechanism is an explanation of why the story happened the way it did — and why a different story with the same underlying structure would produce the same result. Anecdotes are evidence. They are not explanations. This platform aims for the latter.
The stress test comes first. The strongest case against the thesis is constructed and answered before any prose is written. If the thesis cannot survive it, the article does not exist. What you read here has been questioned. It held.
A theory that cannot be revised is a doctrine. Every theory on this platform carries a version number and an Evolution section — a public record of how the thinking changed and why. The goal is not to be right first. It is to be less wrong over time.
Every failure described in this work is structural — the result of incentives, information environments, and systemic pressures, not individual deficiency. Leadership failures are organisational failures. Diagnosis is not blame. The diagnostic register holds throughout.
Anything not questioned is a gateway to mediocrity. Anything questioned with curiosity is the way to meritocracy. Let us stop expecting that we are always right.
Every theory carries a version number. Every article carries the strongest counter-argument that was raised against it. Every distinction names what it clarifies and which theory generated it. Open Questions sections exist on every theory page — because a theory that cannot name what it does not yet explain is not a theory. It is a claim.
